April 25 • 10 - 11:30 a.m. • American Revolution Museum at Yorktown
As part of the "Outlander: Costumes Woven in Time" special exhibition, join us for a hands-on experience as living-history interpreters on the Revolution-era farm at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown offer an exciting workshop to learn how different fibers were dyed in the 18th century.
Learn about the importance of homespun fabrics and how using purchased, grown and foraged dyestuffs extended the life of garments during the war. Try your hand at cloth-dyeing and take home your own hand-dyed silk scarf!
